As Senior Principal and the employee with the longest tenure, Francisco’s greatest assets are his ability to empower the firm’s creative team in providing leadership in the design process while respecting the client’s goals, schedule and budget. His unique design solutions challenge the conventions of the built environment in the healthcare community. He appreciates the challenge of working in a dynamic environment with ever-changing medical equipment technologies and life support systems.
Francisco, a native of Mexico, was invited by Mr. Halstead to join the firm in 1973. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology and recognizes the value of collaborating with a team that celebrates tradition and embraces the advancements of science, technology and social responsibility in the future of Architecture.
Francisco is President and Co-Founder of the Economic Development Commission of Greater Logan Square, a not-for-profit organization that fosters responsible development in the communities of Logan Square and Avondale. He was also elected and served as community representative in the local councils of Logandale Middle School and Avondale Elementary School.
