Jensen & Halstead Ltd. and Studio One Design to Brand Under One Name
Four years ago, Studio One Design (S1D) became a division of Jensen & Halstead Ltd. (J&H), thereby incorporating complete Interior Design services into the firm. Since their integration, J&H and S1D have grown together while complementing each others’ talents and skills. Their services have expanded to include a comprehensive package of Architecture, Planning, Interior Design, Procurement, Signage, Artwork and Graphics.
Effective today, Architecture and Interiors will be combined under the Jensen & Halstead name. This strategic move affirms their ongoing commitment to provide cutting edge Architectural and Interior Design solutions.
The hallmark of J&H is its cultivation of client relationships, collaborating with their clients to achieve innovative solutions that exceed their needs and expectations. Since 1995, J&H and S1D have worked together on hundreds of projects, including Kankakee's Riverside Medical Center Pavilion, Advocate Lutheran General Imaging Center and Presbyterian Homes McGaw Care Center Spas. The firm specializes in designing, expanding and modernizing healthcare and senior living facilities. In the past year, J&H and S1D have expanded into the higher education market, recently completing work for the Illinois College of Optometry.
Jensen & Halstead was founded in 1868 by Major William Le Baron Jenney. Jenney designed the Home Insurance Building, considered to be the first skeleton steel skyscraper, thus establishing a legacy of innovation for the firm. At least eighteen of their historic projects have been landmarked, including the Manhattan Building, the Ludington Building, Leiter II and the New York Life Building. J&H has sustained that tradition of excellence for over 140 years, implementing the latest technologies in every endeavor, both locally and nationally.
